Why 5G ??? Its Practical Applications

5G is 5th Generation Mobile Network with tremendous speed & bandwidth which is developed not only to interconnect people, but also interconnect and control machines and other devices. It will deliver speed upto 10Gbps, ultra low latency(<2ms) and massive capacity.

What services and new innovations can we expect with development of 5G?

  • 5G not only makes smartphones better and fast, it will also introduce new feature such as VR and AR.
Recently we can hear a lot about STADIA, which is online gaming platform developed by Google. All the graphics and processing for game is performed in cloud and the massive data transfer rate makes it possible to seamlessly control and buffer the content of games in remote devices such as smartphones or laptops. It implements hardware sharing and hence save a lot of money, required to buy heavy hardware such as processors and graphics cards.
  • In January 2020, World's first 5G remote surgery was tested on lab animal.
Then in March, a doctor in Chinese city of Sanya inserted a stimulation device in the brain of a Parkinson's patient nearly 1900 miles away in Beijing.
Remote surgery was not possible as there was lag time of quarter of seconds and that delay was potentially harmful and fatal to a patient. Now 5G changes all that , with its latency reduced to almost instantaneous 2 millisecond between devices.

  • `With the implementation of 5G in Industry, manufacturers can use connected system to gain critical insights about their operations. These insights can be used to improve operational efficiency. Moreover, Re-Programming of Production System as well as new updates on the system can be done in less time and with the use of 5G network, the traditional wired network will be upgraded to wireless and which will reduce complications even on physical basis.

  • Transportation is another sector 5G will revolutionalize. Vehicle-to-vehicle, vehicle-to-infrastructure and sensor & devices communication will make roads safer. Autonomous vehicles will take another leap by bringing connected transportation systems resulting in safety, sustainibillity and advanced navigation & augmented reality. Imagine driving a bus from home, thats how crazy 5G is.

Stadia? How it's better than your gaming console?

Stadia is a Cloud Gaming Service hosted by Google capable of streaming video games up to 4K reolution at 60fps with support for high-dynamic-range via company's numerous data centers across the globe. They need a very high-speed Internet Connection or probably 5G Network. It can be accessed through the Google Chrome Browser on desktops, Pixel Smartphones, supported smartphones from Samsung, Razer and Asus, Chrome OS Tablets and Chromecast. Being hosted in cloud, it does not require computer hardware, but only fast Internet connection and support for Google Chrome. It supports consecutive YouTube Streaming & cooperatively playing the same game with friends, to have picture-in-picture inserts on their display of their friend's point of view in game. It allow for large number of concurrent players on a game server. Stadia offers two tiers of service, a free Base level and a monthly subscription Pro level. The Pro tier costs approximately US $10 per month, allowing users ...

Levitating Speakers

Levitating speaker floats in mid-air due to their magnetic fields. It is dedicated to people who are bored of monotonous Bluetooth speaker such that these speaker produce nice sound quality while the speaker floats in mid air.                                                                 Levitating Speakers are generally similar to each other . And, we can see so many varieties . The speaker in the image is ReVolt Levio one of great design with 360 degrees surround sound. The battery lasts almost 8 hours. It looks magical in your desk, speaker floating in mid air.

Cellular Networks.. a complete story from 1G to 5G?

Cellular Networks Introduction A cellular network is a communication network broadcasted usually by transeivers i.e. base stations. It distributes network over land areas called cells. These base station containing major transeiver provides the cell with network coverage for transmission of voice, data and other types of content. A cell uses different set of frequencies from neighboring cells, to avoid interference and provide guaranteed service quality. The frequencies used are often leased to Network Company by Telecommunication department. By networking all the relative base stations, it provides radio coverage over a wide geographic area. The network enables different devices like mobile phones, laptops, tablets, modems, pagers, etc to communicate with each other via base station. Development Phases of Cellular Networks => 1G Networks   Probably very few are familiar with this term 1G Network as it was analog network developed a long while ago in 1979...
